How To Get Your Audience To Do Exactly What You Want Them To Do

Imagine you own a store on a busy street. The storefront design looks great—you’ve got amazing products on display, perfectly arranged.
You see people walking by, they can’t help but stare.
Issue is, for some reason, they’re not coming in.
So you decide to walk out the door and tell them:
“Hey, y’all are free to come in!”
Suddenly, you’ve got 10, 20, 40, 80+ customers at checkout and you’re barely able to keep up.
Let’s talk about what the magic is in this scenario and how you can implement it into your business.
The Power Of A CTA
What do you think would’ve happened if you never invited them to your store?
To me, it would be like pulling up to a drive-thru, asking the person if they speak Spanish, and when they start speaking Spanish, you keep talking in English.
You’re not making it clear what you want, so the interaction ends up confusing both of you.
Similarly, if you have all these nice products on display, but you don’t even have a sign at the door that says “Open”, of course people will be confused.
They aren’t sure if they’re allowed to come in.
Maybe there’s some special design show going on.
Maybe the president is in town and they want everything to look good.
Who knows!
But the worst thing you want to do to is get people confused, because when they are, they do the worst thing possible:
NOTHING.
That's why you need to set up a CTA.
CTA stands for Call To Action. And it's the easiest way to make sure people know exactly what to do so they end up doing something, instead of nothing.
How To Use CTAs To Enhance Your Marketing
Whenever you market your business—whether through ads, posters, or word-of-mouth—always include a clear action for people to take.
Something like: ‘download your free guide to do X’ or ‘put your email here and we’ll send you the best way to do Y’ or ‘text us today and we’ll tell you exactly how to do Z’.
Anything that makes them raise their hand and say: ‘Yes, please give me this, I’m interested!’.
Because not only will this allow you to attract customers that are ready to buy now, but also those who’re still thinking about it.
You build a list, a herd of people interested in whatever you’re selling. You’re building marketing equity for both today AND tomorrow.
So let’s start adding CTAs to your marketing. It’s easy, doesn’t cost anything and it can change EVERYTHING for you.

If we’re a good fit I’ll personally take a look at your marketing and come up with a strategy of what I’d do differently and discuss it with you in depth on a call.
No cost, no obligation.
